You can significantly lessen the chances of being a victim of Card fraud crimes by following some very simple & helpful tips:

                          Your Card(s):

                          • Sign your new American Express Card(s) as soon as they arrive and destroy your expired Card(s).
                          • Notify American Express Middle East in advance of a change in your address.
                          • Store your Card(s) in a secure place where you will immediately know if it is missing.
                          • Carry your Card(s) separately from your wallet, in a zippered compartment, a business Cardholder, or another small pouch.
                          • Keep a record of your Card(s) Account Numbers, their expiration dates and our Customer Services telephone number in a secure place separate from your Card (s).
                          • When you are expecting a New or Replacement Card(s), keep a sharp eye on the mail.
                          • Report a lost or stolen Card(s) immediately.
                          • Always keep your plastic Card(s) with you while traveling.
                          • Don’t lend your Card(s) to anyone.
                          • Don’t leave Card(s) or receipts lying around.
                          • Don’t write your Card Account Number on a postcard(s) or the outside of an envelope.
                          • Don’t give out your Card(s) Number over the phone unless you're making the call to a company you know is reputable.
                          • Don’t leave your Card(s) as a security deposit or as identification.
                          • Don’t leave Card(s) unattended in a bag, briefcase or jacket pocket in a public place “under your seat in a restaurant or a train”. Instead, keep your bag or briefcase on your lap.
                          • Don’t leave Card(s) and other valuables unattended in a hotel room or on the beach.

                          Your PIN’s:

                          • Never save your Card(s) and Personal Identification Number (PIN) details together.
                          • Don’t choose a PIN that is your phone number, Civil ID, CPR, Social Security or Date of Birth.
                          • Don’t give out your PIN to anyone. If anyone asks you for your PIN, even if they claim they are from the bank or the police, he/she is most likely a fraudster.

Your Card Account Statements & Receipts:

                          • Save receipts to compare with your Card Account Statements. Open bills promptly and reconcile your Card Accounts monthly, just as you would check your Bank Account statements.
                          • Report any questionable charges immediately by calling our 24 hour Customer Services number (+973) 17 557755.
                          • Monitor your Card(s) Account activity online to stay up to date and check for irregular activity.
                          • Always store Card Account Statements & receipts securely, once not needed destroy using a shredding machine.
                          • Don’t sign a blank receipt. When you sign a receipt, draw a line through any blank spaces above the total.

                          Your Passwords:

                          • Keep your passwords secret.
                          • Make them hard to guess.
                          • Vary them, change them regularly.
                          • Never write them down.

                          When Using an ATM

                          • Be vigilant when using ATM machines, especially at night.
                          • Ensure that you have your Card ready before you reach the ATM and be wary of anyone who might be trying to watch you enter your PIN. Do not allow yourself to be distracted by anyone.
                          • Read the transaction carefully before accepting it on the ATM machine.
                          • Ensure that you collect your Card, money dispensed and transaction receipt before you leave the ATM.
                          • Check if the ATM is being physically tampered with external fittings or loose wiring; or any strange devices. If this occurs, report it to American Express or the ATM's bank.
                          • Do not accept assistance by a stranger standing next to the ATM; even if wearing a bank's uniform.
                          • Shield the screen and keyboard when making a transaction to avoid shoulder surfing.
                          • If you have doubts about the machine when conducting a transaction, cancel the transaction immediately.

                          When Buying at the Store

                          • Never leave receipts behind where someone could pick them up and gain access to your details.
                          • Never let anyone put your Card Number on any document not associated with purchases on your Card Account.
                          • Keep an eye on your Card everytime you make a transaction, and get it back as quickly as possible.
                          • Always ensure that the card returned to you is your Card. It is easy for sales staff to give you the wrong card when they are in a hurry.
                          • Ensure that you void and destroy any incorrect receipts for declined or failed transactions immediately.
                          • When charges on your Card are done manually, please take your copy of the charge slip and destroy any papers if used.
