Terms and Conditions
Basic Cardmembers of AMEX (Middle East) B.S.C (c) ("AEME") are able to enroll into the Geo-location Restriction Service. For Corporate Cardmembers, the company and the employee who is a Basic Cardmember must be enrolled in the Express Cash service to be able to enroll into the Geo-location Restriction Service.
In all cases, by accepting the Geo-location Restriction Service ("Preferences") the Basic Cardmember ("You") agree:
- 1. That AEME can act on the Preferences you have selected without conducting any further verification of your choices. AEME is not responsible for the Preferences you select on the Cards made on your Card Account.
- 2. You are responsible for renewing your Preferences in accordance with its corresponding expiry dates, should you wish your Preferences to continue to apply.
- 3. Once you have selected your Preferences, you should receive an SMS notification from AEME verifying its status. If you do not receive any notification please call the Customer Services number available on the back of your Card. AEME will not be liable for any Charges on your Card Account if you fail to confirm the status of your Preferences.
- 4. AEME commits to providing the Geo-location Restriction Service and any related notification services on a best efforts basis, but does not guarantee that any and/or all Preferences you select will apply to each Charge incurred on your selected Card. You release and discharge AEME from any and all liability resulting from your Geo-location Restriction Service not applying in the event of any unscheduled down-time, any unauthorized human intervention, or any malfunction of any computer component, software or communication line, any loss or absence of network communication, any faulty, incomplete or unintelligible transmissions which could inhibit the application of your Preferences.
- 5. AEME's obligations under this offer are subject to any restriction or limitation imposed by any regulatory, judicial or administrative authority with jurisdiction over AEME, and AEME will not be liable to the extent any decision, direction, order or determination by such body prohibits or restricts AEME's performance.
- 6. In all instances you remain liable for the repayment of any Charges incurred in accordance with your Cardmember Agreement. Any disputed Charge will continue to follow the terms of your Cardmember Agreement.
